Glucose is an integral part of high molecular weight polysaccharides C6H10O5. This monosaccharide is the most common carbohydrate.
Natural organic compound in the form of a white crystalline powder, sweet to the taste, without foreign tastes, soluble in water. In nature, it is formed by plants in the process of photosynthesis. On an industrial scale is obtained by hydrolysis of polysaccharides of starch and cellulose.
